Met Office: November likely to be wetter than usual in T&T

November 2018 is likely to be wetter than usual in Trinidad and Tobago with a greater than 40 percent chance of rainfall totals to be above normal in most areas.

This is according to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS).

It says the risk of flooding and landslides remains high.

The Met Office in its Rainfall and Temperature Outlook for November to January 2019, said there is a 60 percent chance for at least one 7-day wet spell during November to January 2018, i.e. seven consecutive days with measurable rainfall.

The TTMS added that historically, November is known for producing the secondary peak rainfall totals in Trinidad and peak totals in Tobago.
