Adverse weather conditions associated with a tropical wave and the Inter Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) won't let up any time soon.
This as the Meteorological Service (Met Service) again extended its Adverse Weather Alert (Yellow Level) from this afternoon until midday on Wednesday. This is the third alert issued by the Met Office in as many days.
The initial weather alert was issued for Monday.
The Met Office advised on Tuesday that periods of rain and/or showers and isolated thunderstorms are likely to continue to affect Trinidad and Tobago, with most of the activity expected during the early morning period.
Citizens are advised that due to recent rainfall activity, areas susceptible to landslips/landslides are at greater risk and the presence of strong low-level winds can result in gusts in excess of 55km/hr at times.
The Met Office further advised that the possibility for street or flash flooding still exists during periods of heavy downpours.
