A Tropical Wave is expected to pass over Trinidad and Tobago on Thursday.
The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) provided the update in a Facebook post on Tuesday afternoon.
"The GeoColor imagery highlights the Tropical Wave which is located at approximately 40W and moving westwards. Latest data analyses anticipate that this wave will traverse our area from Thursday 25. This wave should bring much needed relief from the pesky Saharan Dust with the concentration expected to be reduced."
Meanwhile, the Met Office said a new surge of Saharan dust is behind the Tropical Wave.
"Unfortunately, a new surge of Saharan dust in moderate to high concentration is behind this wave and is expected to begin affecting the islands from Friday 26 until at least the 28."
