World AIDS Day is observed on December 1 annually.

World Aids Day was founded in 1988 and was the first ever global health day. To date, AIDS is most important global health issue in recorded history.

The Ministry of Planning and Development has urged the people of Trinidad and Tobago to get tested and know their status in an effort to eradicate the HIV virus in the country.
