After the tragedy of having their roof blown off earlier this week by a mini tornado, the affected Chase Village family was paid a visit by Minister of Social Development and Family Services Donna Cox and members of the ministry’s management team.

House owner, Beharry Crowe along with other family members expressed gratitude to the ministry for visiting them and providing various grants to aid in their recovery as well as for the hampers and food support.

The family will also be provided with counselling which will be facilitated by the National Family Services Division of the Ministry.

After touring the premises to gauge the damages, Minister Cox addressed the media stating that the ministry’s objective is to help the family with their house repairs as soon as possible.

Minister Cox also took the opportunity to view damages done to neighbour, Shanawaz Shah’s home while on the visit.
