Beauty with a Purpose: Ms. Chanka shares some of her plans with Minister Crichlow-Cockburn.

Recently crowned Miss World 2017, Trinidad and Tobago representative Chandini Chanka paid a courtesy call on the Honourable Cherrie-Ann Crichlow-Cockburn, Minister of Social Development and Family Services at the Ministry’s Head Office in Port of Spain.

The visit was part of Ms. Chanka’s “Beauty with a Purpose” project, as she prepares for the Miss World Competition which will be held in November this year in Singapore.

Ms Chanka took the opportunity to share some of her plans and projects with the Minister, which include an initiative to provide awareness and care for children with disabilities, particularly children with cerebral palsy. 

Minister Crichlow-Cockburn commended Chandini for her passion and drive indicating the Ministry’s willingness to facilitate information and necessary linkages to support her project.

The Minister also extended best wishes to the beauty queen.
