The Ministry reports that a further 23 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Trinidad and Tobago.

Of these 23, 13 are contacts of recently positive patients and ten are pending epidemiological investigation.

The Ministry of Health is reporting that another 48 samples have tested positive for COVID-19 in Trinidad and Tobago.  

The new positive cases are results from samples taken between August 5 -13. 

In a further breakdown, the Ministry said that 18 of these new patients are contacts of existing cases while 29 are pending epidemiological investigation.  

This brings T&T's total case load to 474, while the active case load stands at 325. 

As reported yesterday, the current death toll stands at 10. 

As patients continue to recover from the virus, 139 have been discharged.  

The Ministry says that 57 patients are en route to hospital, while 48 will be processed for new admission. 

The Couva Teaching is currently housing 104 people where three people are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and another two are in the High Dependency Unit (HDU). Caura Hospital has 25 patients at present.  

In step-down facilities, the Brooklyn Centre is holding 20 patients, Camp Balandra is housing 31 and the Tacarigua Raquet Centre has 40 people.
