Norwegian Bliss cruise liner makes first visit to St Kitts
The cruise liner Norwegian Bliss made its inaugural visit to St Kitts this morning. This was the eleventh vessel from Norway to visit the region within this cruise season, bringing in approximately 5,400 cruise passengers. The ship is slated to make another two visits to St Kitts this season along with a number of other vessels.
Public relations officer at St Kitts Tourism Authority Jonette Boyd said other cruise lines which have already visited, and are slated to make other visits to the island include the Norwegian Breakaway with 5,100 passengers, Norwegian Epic with 5,183, Norwegian Escape with 5,400 visitors, Norwegian Gem, Dawn and Pearl each taking in in 4,080 per visit.
The cruise season which started in October 2019 and ends September 2020 also saw the visit of two other cruises: Seabourn Sojourne luxury liner with 450 passengers which nestled at South Friars Bay and the MSC Preziosa Cruise at Port Zante.
“It was a busy day on the port. Most passengers disembarked and got to enjoy island tours which include tours like hiking to the volcano, catamaran tours and dolphin discovery.” She said tourists generally book on tour or after dismemberment, while many others prefer to explore the historical downtown area.
