More Saharan dust on the way; mild concentrations expected next week

Mild concentrations of Saharan dust can be expected in Trinidad and Tobago by Wednesday/Thursday, according to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service.

On Saturday, the Met Office in a post on its Facebook page advised citizens that there is a plume of Saharan dust in the eastern tropical Atlantic Ocean.

It said forecast models suggest that by the time this plume reaches T&T on Wednesday/Thursday, on mild concentrations would be expected.

Persons with respiratory ailments are advised to take the necessary precautions.
