Mother of four in critical condition after ingesting substance
A 31-year-old mother of four was hospitalised after allegedly ingesting a toxic substance at Palmiste Park on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police reports the woman was with her children around 3.00 pm at the park when she drank the substance.
The woman, who is said to be from Princes Town, then called a family friend and told them what she had done.
The police were immediately notified and officers from the San Fernando CID responded.
The woman’s husband was also notified and he took custody of the four children.
The woman was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment where she was warded in a critical condition up to Thursday morning.
