Motorists warned of upcoming traffic disruption along CRH

The National Infrastructure Development Company Limited (NIDCO) and the Ministry of Works and Transport (MoWT) is advising the general public that there will be traffic disruptions along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway (CRH) near the Curepe Interchange, this week.

A joint statement issued on Wednesday noted that this will occur between the hours of 9 pm on Wednesday and 3 am on Thursday.

Motorists are informed that one lane of traffic will remain open to motorists along the CRH Westbound while two lanes will be open Eastbound.

During this period only, the Priority Bus Route will be open from its intersections with the Uriah Butler Highway (Mt Hope Intersection) to the Macoya Road Intersection.

The release said the disruption is necessary to facilitate the completion of works associated with casting the Bridge Deck for the Curepe Interchange.

Motorists are also advised to comply with the following:

- Proceed with caution and drive at a reduced speed on approaching the work zone

- Observe all temporary directional signage provided on the approaches to the site

- Obey all instructions issued by on-site police officers to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic

- Be aware of heavy equipment entering and exiting the site
