Maximum Security Prison inmate dies at hospital

A 66-year-old man who was serving a life sentence at the Maximum Security Prison (MSP), died after being admitted to the Arima Health Facility on Sunday.

The Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service confirmed that around 3:30 pm, Norbert Williams, died at hospital.

The 66-year-old man had been ailing for quite some time.

He had to be admitted to medical institutions on several occasions as a result of his condition.

Williams’ next of kin was visited by an assigned Welfare Officer who informed of his passing.

The Prison Service has extended sincere condolences to Williams’ family and friends.
