Munro is the top scorer in the 2018 Caribbean Premier League
Colin Munro’s superb 90 off 56 deliveries paced the Trinbago Knight Riders to a 67-run victory over the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Caribbean Premier League at the Queen’s Park Oval on Wednesday night.
The New Zealand batsman hit 10 fours and four sixes at a strike rate of 160 in the Knight Riders 170-7 off their 20 overs.
The Guyana Amazon Warriors were never in the game as they slipped to 48-6 before Jason Mohammed and Roshon Primus briefly raised hopes of a revival with 27 and 36 respectively.
However, they were all out for 103 in 17.4 overs with Ali Khan taking 3-22 off 2.4 overs, and Khary Pierre, Dwayne Bravo and Fawad Ahmed all taking two wickets apiece.
The Knight Riders are now back at the top of the CPL table with 12 points from eight games, while the Amazon Warriors stay in third with 10 points off eight games.
Trinbago Knight Riders are back in action on Friday night against the Barbados Tridents at the Oval, while the Amazon Warriors are back home at Providence to host the Jamaica Tallawahs on Saturday night.
