Murder toll continues to climb with three more killings overnight

Three men were killed in separate incidents between last Friday night and Saturday morning.

In the latest incident, a man was shot and killed in St. Joseph on Saturday morning.

He has been identified as 25-year-old Akim Martin.

According to reports, Martin’s bullet riddled body was discovered in the St Joseph community near the Priority Bus Route known as Bangladesh.

The victim was known to police.

Meanwhile, a 20-year-old man is dead following a fight in Point Fortin on Saturday.

The victim has been identified as Deshorn Parson.

According to reports, Parson got into a fight with a man known to him at about 2 am, while liming with a group of persons at outside a bar near the Southern Main Road, Point Fortin.

During the fight, the other assailant pulled out a knife and stabbed Parson about the body.

Parson collapsed on the ground, while the assailant fled the scene.

And, a man is dead following a shooting incident in La Romaine on Friday night.

The victim has been identified as Quillon Hudson.

According to initial reports, he was fatally shot at 10 pm along Pearl Street, La Romaine.

The police and emergency health services were notified.

However, Hudson succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.
