Murder victim identified; second shooting victim found

The man who was found dead in Marabella on Sunday morning has been identified as 37-year-old Kevon King. 

King of Bayshore East, Marabella, was fatally shot at about 8.25am off Monty Street. 

Residents of the area reported hearing loud explosions, and upon investigating they found the deceased lying on the ground in a track off the roadway. 

He appeared to have been shot to the chest. 

Residents also observed a trail of blood which led from the scene to the home of a 20-year-old man. 

The man, a security guard, also appeared to have been shot. 

The police were notified, and the injured man was rushed for medical treatment. 

King’s body was viewed by a district medical officer, who ordered it removed to the Forensic Science Center in St James where an autopsy is expected to take place today. 

The scene was visited by a team of officers including Snr Sup Wayne Mohammed, Snr Sup Chandool, ASP Mohammed, ASP Douglas, Insp Nanan, Insp Figaro, Sgt Williams, Cpl Burke, Cpl Bahadoor, and others.
