A 47-year-old man, who police say committed murders along with other crimes including larceny, assault and drug offences, was found dead at his Arima home on Monday. Still, officers did not say if Joel Toussaint of Nelson Street was convicted of any of the aforementioned offences.
Reports say around 8.15 am first responders were called and informed of a shooting incident. They arrived at the scene and were taken to a laundry room of Toussaint's house where they found his bullet-riddled body faced down on the floor.
A district medical officer visited the scene and ordered his body removed for a post mortem to be conducted.
Inquiries are continuing.
