National Security Ministry hosts Town Hall meeting with staff
Minister of National Security Stuart Young held a Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday to express his commitment to the Ministry, staff and country.
Minister Young told staff members that they as a body are the Ministry’s greatest asset as they provide valuable support to the Ministry’s Divisions and, in this regard, every single staff member has a significant role to play in supporting the Ministry in securing the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago.
The Minister noted that law-abiding citizens far outweigh the criminal element in our society and citizens can therefore create positive change for our country through collaboration.

He stated that while there is no singular solution to treat with crime, there are solutions. He encouraged staff to think outside the box and to work towards finding ways to get the job done.
The Minister expressed his hope for a high level of commitment and support from all staff. Members of staff also had the opportunity to engage the Minister directly, asking questions and voicing opinions. They also noted their appreciation to Minister Young for convening the meeting and receiving their feedback.
Prior to Tuesday's meeting, Minister Young did a walk-through of the Ministry of National Security’s Temple Court 1, Head Office on Wednesday August 8, visiting the various Units and meeting with staff.
Also addressing staff at the forum were the Ministry of National Security’s Permanent Secretaries Mr. Vel Lewis and Mrs. Vashti Shrikrisen Singh.
