New CEPEP Chairman appointed
On Tuesday morning, Minister of Rural Development and Local Government Haji Kazim Hosein delivered the official instruments to the new Chairman for the Community-Based Environmental Protection and Enhancement Programme (CEPEP).
Taking over for outgoing CEPEP Chairman Clyde Paul, is Ashton Ford, former Mayor and Member of Parliament for Arima.
Hosein thanked the outgoing Chairman, applauding his dedication to the successful functioning of the enterprise for which he was responsible.
He said, “Mr. Paul has navigated CEPEP through a challenging situation, and his service is well noted and praised. He was my colleague in local government before, so I knew that he would be up to this challenge. Now that he is moving on, we at the Ministry wish him continued success and we know he will make his mark wherever he goes.”
The Minister further congratulated the newly installed Chairman saying, “We welcome Mr. Ford who brings with him, a long history of expertise and professionalism. We have full confidence that he will strive to keep CEPEP moving on an upward trajectory to be a successful, service-oriented company.”
