New Port Authority Chairman named

A new Port Authority Chairman has been named following the resignation of Alison Lewis, who served in the position for a period of just under a year.

Retired Colonel Lyle Alexander, former commanding officer of the Defence Force Reserve, takes up the post.

Works and Transport Minister Rohan Sinanan made the revelation in the Senate on Tuesday, during debate on a motion raised by the Opposition on the inter-island sea bridge.

Lewis resigned last Friday. No reason has since been given for her decision to step down.
