NIB amends opening hours due to COVID-19

The National Insurance Board of Trinidad and Tobago (NIB) has amended its business hours in order to maintain health and safety measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

In a statement issued Tuesday, NIB said from March 31 to April 15, 2020, all of its locations, with the exception of the Arima Collection Centre, will be open to the public from 8 am to 1 pm. 

The company said that the Arima Collection Centre will remain closed for this period.

The company said customers must only visit branches for the following services:

  • To make Contribution Payments by cash
  • To apply for a Funeral Grant

Only a Drop-Box Service will apply for the following submissions:

  • Contribution Payments by cheque
  • All other Claim forms
  • Social Welfare forms

As a result, NIB said customers can contact the company using the following temporary numbers: 687-1696, 687-3628, 687-3681, 687-3447, 686-9654.
