The Ministry of National Security is warning the general public that there will be no lifeguard services at the beaches which were temporarily closed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, until further notice.

This includes beach facilities at Maracas/Tyrico Bay, Las Cuevas, Los Iros, Quinam, Manzanilla, Mayaro, Salybia, Toco and Vessigny.

The decision to temporarily close these facilities is in keeping with the Government’s recommended guidelines to treat with the global crisis.

The Ministry of National Security also advises that the public should adhere to the same protocols to help manage and mitigate the spread of Covid-19.

“Persons should exercise caution at all times and take responsibility for their personal safety and security,” the statement said.
