Noel Garcia has been appointed Chairman of the Housing Development Corporation (HDC).

This is his second stint at the HDC.

Garcia was presented with his instruments of appointment by Minister of Housing and Urban Development Edmund Dillon last Friday.

He replaces Newman George as Chairman.

The Board, which is tasked with treating all matters before it in a responsible and judicious manner, includes Kurt Winston Salandy, Keston McQuilkin, Dr. Jeffrey Reyes and Saira Samlal-Ramlogan.

The Board’s decisions must be in keeping with the overall policy of the Ministry as it pertains to the provision of affordable housing units for low to lower middle-income families.
