Nothing personal: Blaxx' management apologises for singer's outburst
The management team of Dexter Stewart aka Blaxx is apologising to anyone who may have felt offended by his outburst at an event during Point Fortin Borough Day activities.
Blaxx was captured on camera making comments about Machel Montano while performing at the Mawning Neighbour fete in Point Fortin on Sunday which took place from 10 am to 6 am.
In a video that is going viral, Blaxx is heard saying “F*** Machel” and later calling him the Devil.
Please note the following video contains explicit language. Viewer discretion is advised.
"This is my first time at Mawning Neighbour but I have been hearing about Mawning Neighbour. We come here for love, Machel is the Devil, I doh fraid to talk," he said.
Ian Pantin, part of Blaxx management team, told Loop that the ‘Hulk’ singer has no issue with Montano.
He said the singer, who had just flown in from an event in The Bahamas, was inundated with complaints that their event did not attract a large crowd because of Montano.
Montano performed in Point Fortin at another event called In Borough Day that started at 4 pm.
“It was nothing personal. As he reached the event, the promoters were in his ear saying the numbers low in the party and Machel event causing that. He was saying why are they taking on Machel but he chose a different adjective,” said Pantin.
He said Blaxx calling Montano the Devil was just a joke showing how much power the soca star has.
Machel has since responded to the outburst via a post on his Instagram profile.
