Notice: Water supply interruptions in north-east Trinidad
Residents in parts of North-East Trinidad are advised of planned service interruptions from Thursday April 26.
The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) said in a statement issued Tuesday that areas served by the North Oropouche Water Treatment Plant may experience an interruption in their water supply from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Thursday April 26.
The company said this has become necessary in order to carry out electrical maintenance works at the Plant.
Areas affected include:
Vega De Oropouche
Toco Road, Sangre Grande
Guaico/ Guaico Tamana
Malabar Phases 1, 3 & 4
Tumpuna Road/ San Rafael
Carapo/ O’Meara Road
Signature Park/ Mausica Road
Millennium Park/ Sunrise Park
Golden Grove Road
The Authority further advised that it may take up to 8 – 12 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas following resumption of production at the facility.
