National Petroleum (NP) is advising customers that there is no need to panic buy fuel, as such actions will only serve to influence fuel shortages and worsen the situation in light of the impending tropical storm.
In a statement, NP said it has instituted contingency measures to ensure that motorists and the aviation industry continue to receive a steady supply of fuel.
The company adds that its Distribution Department is in a state of readiness to deliver fuel to its service station network, in order to ensure a reliable and continuous supply of fuel to the country.
NP said it will continue to monitor the situation and advise the public accordingly.
