The North West Regional Health Authority (NWRHA) has opened a men's clinic at the Petit Valley Health Centre.

The NWRHA said the men's clinic was launched on July 13, 2019, and urged men to come in for their health check-ups.

"Emerging evidence shows that men are more likely to die before the age of 70 and data from the World Health Organization suggest that approximately 52% of all NCD deaths worldwide occurred among men."

"In light of this the NWRHA officially launched its Men's Health Clinic at the Petit Valley Health Centre on the 13th of July, 2019."

Services offered at the clinic include blood pressure, blood glucose and blood cholesterol testing, as well as BMI and nutritional counselling, HIV/AIDS testing, PSA testing, vision screening and smoking cessation.
