Officer's home shot at, search on for suspects

The search is on for two suspects after a police officer's home was shot at on Sunday night.

The incident reportedly took place at the home of a police sergeant around 10.40 pm in Charlieville.

According to police reports, the officer was at his home with other relatives when he heard screams. Upon investigating, the sergeant saw two men, one holding a firearm, in the yard of his home.

The assailants saw the officer and opened fire at the house.

The lawman, fearful for his life, drew his licenced firearm and returned fire.

A total of six shots were said to have been fired by the officer.

Thankfully, while the home may have suffered some damage, no injuries were reported by the sergeant nor by his relatives.

2. A man of African descent, six feet tall, light brown in complexion, bareback, long blue jeans, black and white slippers, faded hairstyle.

Anyone with information which could lead to the arrests of these individuals is asked to contact the police immediately on 555, 999 or 800-TIPS.
