Ola keeps flood victims in mind, promises to put smiles on their faces

As he prepares to perform in the first live show of X Factor 2018, Olatunji Yearwood's mind is on his countrymen.

In an Instagram post, Ola, as he is called, said he will give everything on the stage tonight to put a smile on all those in Trinidad and Tobago affected by the floods.

"Given the devastating floods back home yesterday, we know so much of you need something to at least smile about for a little while. I’m leaving EVERYTHING on that stage tonight to at least bring some JOY and SMILES to everyone in 🇹🇹🇹🇹. Our hearts ♥️ are with you even though we are not there. EVERY SECOND of my performance tonight is for you," he wrote.

Ola is in the final 16 selected from the Judges' Houses' round last weekend.

Following the show, the UK public will be allowed to vote for their favourite singers. Results will be announced on Sunday.

The show will be aired live in T&T on CNC3 at 3.25 pm.
