Olatunji to appear on X Factor UK?

Is Olatunji Yearwood appearing in the next season of the X Factor UK?

Yearwood, the 2016 Groovy Soca Monarch, is featured on the show’s Twitter account.

The post from July 24 shows the ‘Bodyline’ singer dancing and is captioned: “Me: I’m going to be cool calm and collected at The #XFACTOR Auditions.


Loop reached out to Yearwood’s management who is mum on whether or not the singer auditioned for the popular talent show and if he was successful.

Loop understands Yearwood has been in the UK for the last month and only recently returned home.

We were told that he has been working on a huge project which would put soca on a global stage.

X Factor is a television show created by Simon Cowell in 2004.

The show has produced chart-topping acts such as Leona Lewis and One Direction.

 In the upcoming season, Cowell will be joined by celebrity judges, pop icon Robbie Williams, his wife Ayda Fields and Louis Tomlinson of One Direction. Sharon Osbourne will reportedly join the judges’ panel for the live shows.

The show will air on the UK’s ITV from September 1 with the auditions.

Soca fans will have to wait till then to see if Yearwood did indeed audition and if he was successful.
