Update: 33 more samples sent for COVID-19 testing, no new cases

While there remains one active case of COVID-19 in the country, the Ministry of Health (MoH) has submitted 33 more samples to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) and UWI site for testing.
In its 6 pm clinical update, the MoH said to date, 5,842 samples have been sent for evaluation.
The country recorded a total of 133 positive cases; eight people have died and 124 have been discharged from the hospital.
Just one patient remains hospitalised at the Caura Hospital for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Ministry of Health in its 10 am clinical update on Monday revealed that four more patients have recovered from the virus.
A total of 124 patients have recovered from the virus thus far.
The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Trinidad and Tobago remains at 133, at this time.
To date, 5,809 samples have been submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) and UWI site for testing for COVID-19.
The number of patients tested for COVID-19 now stands at 4,358 while 1,451 tests have been repeated.
There have been no additional deaths related to the virus since April 6 when the eighth fatality was reported.
The Ministry of Health will provide another clinical update at 6 pm.
