One detained after throwing bricks at site worker

A 34-year-old man is being investigated on allegations of malicious wounding after he allegedly threw bricks at another man – hitting the victim in his head and back.

The injuries, while not life-threatening, did require treatment.

Police were told that at about 7 am on Tuesday, the victim was walking through his job site at Phillip Augustus Road, Longdenville, when he saw another man, who was known to him.

There was a confrontation, following which the 34-year-old threw two bricks at the victim, striking him.

The police were notified, and the suspect was arrested and questioned.
