One killed, another injured in Sea Lots shooting

One man is dead while another is injured following a shooting incident in Sea Lots on Sunday.

The victim has been identified as 38-year-old Ronald Joseph.

According to police reports, around 3:00 pm, Joseph was standing along Pioneer Drive when a vehicle pulled alongside him.

Residents of the area heard several loud explosions and the vehicle was seen speeding away.

In the aftermath, Joseph and another man were seen bleeding from multiple injuries.

The police and paramedics were notified, but Joseph succumbed to his injuries before their arrival.

The scene was visited by a team of officers from the Port of Spain Division and the Homicide Bureau under the supervisions of ACP Hodge-Griffith, Snr Sup Daniels, and Snr Sup Ablack.

A vehicle, which matched the description of the assailant’s car, was later found abandoned in Laventille.
