Over three million dollars in cocaine was seized by officers of the Central Division, during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Couva district on Friday.
The exercise was coordinated by the Superintendent Ramesar, Inspector Alexander and supervised by Acting Superintendent Howard in the company of PC Bowen and officers of the Central Division Task Force Area South and Couva Criminal Investigations Department.
During the exercise, eight individual wrapped packages containing cocaine weighing a total of 8.269 kilograms were found.
The drug has an estimated street value of TT $3,842, 108.16.
Investigations remain active.
