Over $80,000 of equipment stolen from Excellent City Centre

Police are investigating a report of a robbery at Excellent City Centre in Port of Spain where over $80,000 in equipment was stolen.

According to police reports the store targeted was the Cyber Tech Repair Centre.

The discovery was made at 8:55 am on Monday when workers arrived at the store.

According to police reports, the store was secured on Friday afternoon, and alarm systems were activated.

Upon returning on Monday morning, it was observed that a padlock to the front had been broken and the store had been ransacked.

Upon further checking, several items were discovered missing, including 37 Samsung brand phones which totalled over $63,000 in value.

Several other phones could not be accounted for.

The total cost of items stolen was estimated to be over $80,000. 

The police were notified and officers from the Port of Spain Division responded.

Point of entry and exit was said to be from the front door which had been broken.
