Paria to stop supplying UNIPET today

The Paria Fuel Trading Company says they will be cutting off their fuel supply to UNIPET Service Stations due to non-payment of fees. The decision takes immediate effect.

In a media release today, Paria Fuel says they’ve had challenges receiving payments from UNIPET in accordance with their agreed schedule. They explained that since April, the parties have not renegotiated a Supply Agreement.

They also claim that UNIPET has defaulted on payments owed for September and October fuel deliveries.

Paria adds that they are prepared to continue conversations with UNIPET in an effort to mend the strained relationship.

In the interim, Paria says they will be ramping up efforts to supply NP stations with the requisite fuel to ensure that the country continues to have a steady gas supply. They therefore do not anticipate that there will be a shortage of any sort.
