Parking along Chaguaramas Peninsula now illegal

From Thursday, the Chaguaramas Peninsula along the Western Main Road from ALCOA will be declared a tow-away zone – meaning that parking along the stretch will be illegal.

The Chaguaramas Development Authourity (CDA) advised on Wednesday that illegally parked vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense and can be retrieved at the Chaguaramas Hotel and Convention Centre at a cost of $500.

Regular patrols will be carried out by the Authority’s Estate Police Fleet and the Police Service.

The CDA advised that the authorities will exercise their full security as they seek to ensure the safety and security of all for the duration of the Carnival period.
