Parts of Central warned of interruption in supply

The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) advises customers in parts of Central Trinidad that there would be an interruption in their pipe borne water supply on Thursday, between 9:00 am and 9:00 pm.

This has become necessary to facilitate pipeline interconnection works along the Freeport Mission Road, near the Bridge B1/3.

Areas to be affected include:

Central Park,

Balmain

Gran Couva,

May,

Turtle,

Siewdass Road,

Freeport,

Chickland,

Preysal and environs including Freeport Mission Road, Sesame Street, Melanie Gardens, Santa Clara Road, Lower Couva Road, Nasir Trace, Powdharie Road and Sealey Trace.

Customers are advised that it may take up to 12 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas in accordance with pipe-borne water supply schedules.

Motorists are asked to proceed with caution near job site and follow the instructions of traffic control officers.
