Pathologist: Golconda victim saw his killers
Forty-nine-year old Darryl Vincent would have seen his killers when he was gunned down at his home on Tuesday night.
This, according to forensic pathologist Dr Valery Alexandrov, who performed an autopsy on Vincent which showed that he was shot a total of nine times.
Alexandrov said initially, he was facing his attackers, as there were entry wounds to the front of his body.
However, during the course of the shooting, the 49-year-old managed to turn around, resulting in him being shot in the back as well.
He then collapsed on the couch in the porch of his home where he died.
Two types of spent shells were recovered from Vincent’s body, leading the pathologist to deduce that there were more than likely two gunmen involved in the attack.
According to police reports, at about 9:45 pm on Tuesday, residents of Ridgewood Gardens, Golconda, heard several loud explosions and upon investigating, they found Vincent’s bullet riddled body lying on a sofa in the gallery of his home.
He appeared to have been shot in the chest and legs.
The police were notified and a team of officers led by ASP Neptune and Inspector Gajadhar visited the scene.
More on this as it becomes available.
