Patrick Manning 'Life and Times' exhibition on at NALIS

The late, former Prime Minister Patrick Manning.
The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) Libraries in connection with the National Library and Information System Authority (NALIS) will be hosting an exhibition on ‘The Life and Times of Patrick Mervyn Augustus Manning.’
The exhibition will be displayed from August 9 to August 30 at the Adult Library on the first floor of the National Library Building.
Members of the public are invited to visit the display with viewing times between 8:30 and 6 pm on weekdays and up until 4 pm on weekends.
At the exhibition, patrons can observe signature pieces from the Patrick Manning Special Collection, including a series of videos that highlight significant events in the late Prime Minister’s career.
Patrick Manning was the longest serving Member of Parliament and the fourth and sixth Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago.
According to the UTT Libraries statement, the exhibition commemorates Mr Manning’s one year passing on July 2 and his birth on August 17, 1946.
The Collection comprises of roughly 3000 items and was donated to UTT by Mr Manning himself. It contains gifts from visiting Heads of State, local and international organizations and individuals, awards from local and regional entities, books, photographs, personal artefacts such as clothing, newspaper articles and memorabilia that speak of Mr Manning’s life and his connection to country, the region and the world.
Members of the public are urged to visit the exhibition.
