Shoe lovers have even more options to choose from with the opening of Payless ShoeSource’s second Super Store at Gulf City Mall, La Romain.

The first Super Store in the English-speaking Caribbean opened at Trincity Mall last year.

The Super Store, an expansion of the original store, boasts twice the capacity and offers more styles and sizes with 30,000 pairs of shoes in stock.

Customers are guaranteed a more comfortable shopping experience as the new store concept features wider aisles, more associates to assist customers in their purchases, and more cashiers.

Speaking at the opening of the Super Store on Monday, Country Manager Jerus Mohammed said customers will enjoy all that the new store has to offer.

“Now our customers from the southlands will have the same amazing experience of a dazzling assortment of shoes and accessories at every day value prices in the usual convenient self-select shopping environment.”

“The store has undergone major expansion to accommodate the required Super Store dimensions. Our shelves are filled with the latest trends in women’s, men’s and children’s dress casual and athletic shoes.”

Stressing the importance of the Trinidad and Tobago market, Mohammed said it was a large and sustainable market for the company.

The Super Store at Gulf City is one of seven in the Latin American Region.

Also speaking at the opening was San Fernando Mayor Junia Regrello, himself a Payless customer, who said the addition of the Super Store is proof that things are happening in the Southern City.

“Thank you for choosing the Super City for this Super Store because San Fernando is where things are happening. We are at the cusp of development at this point.

There are several mega projects coming on stream which will make affordability and profitability and add to the availability of funds on the market.”

He also commended the footwear retailer for its affordability and the availability of styles as he lamented the difficulty in accessing sizes 13 and 15 men’s shoes locally.

The Super Store’s opening featured a giveaway which saw ten lucky customers leaving with a free pair of shoes.
