Paywise gets 5-day extension
The National Lotteries Control Board (NLCB) network manager has granted Paywise Limited a five-day extension to continue to offer its service at Lotto booths nationwide.
As a result, acceptance of Paywise payments by NLCB agents will continue until next Monday (April 8).
In a statement on Tuesday, the payment service provider said it accepted the short extension to accommodate its clients.
Paywise initially made a 60-day extension request on March 8. However, only a five-day extension was granted, and formal notification of the short extension was only received on Monday.
The payment service provider explained that the 60-day extension request was based on the short notice given and the short time to put a suitable alternative arrangement in place.
Paywise provides alternative means of payments that are easy to use, convenient and secure. Payments are accepted from customers and the money transferred into organisations’ and businesses’ bank accounts.
Paywise has since initiated plans to rebuild its own agent network with more information to be provided at a later date.
