Pedestrian killed trying to cross Churchill Roosevelt Highway

A 56-year-old man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the Churchill Roosevelt Highway on Thursday.

Around 4:15 pm, Narandath Roopnarine of Princes Town, was attempting to cross the highway near the Tumpuna intersection when he was fatally struck by a black lancer driven by a Sangre Grande man.

The impact killed Roopnarine who was pronounced dead at the scene.
