Pictured: Lost Tribe wins Large Band of the Year for Carnival 2019
Winner of the Large Band of the Year category for Carnival 2019, the Lost Tribe's costumes dazzled with a myriad of beautiful colours, designs and energy.
After placing second in its first three years, the band has sealed its place as a force to contend with, winning the Large Band category in its fourth year of existence.
The theme for 2019 was 'Taj', an homage to Executive Creative Director 'Val' Valmiki Maharaj's mother, who passed away in 2017.
Each section is fashioned after a line of poetry on the Taj Mahal, which was Maharaj’s inspiration for the band’s fourth year of Carnival.
This year's presentation was also dedicated to Michael “Uncle Mike” Nobrega, father of Design and Production Director Monique Nobrega.
