PM to attend Ghana independence celebration
Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has been invited to join the people of Ghana as a special guest of honour to celebrate the nation’s 63rd anniversary of independence.
The Prime Minister has accepted the invitation extended by President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to attend.

During the June 2019 visit to this country, President Akufo-Addo met with President Paula-Mae Weekes and the Prime Minister to advance interest to both countries in the fields of energy, health, finance, education, tourism and culture.
The visit followed a visit by the Prime Minister to Ghana in May 2016.
He visited several countries as part of the observance.
The celebration will be held in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti region and Ghana’s second city March 6.
The festivities mark the end of the success of the year of return to Ghana, promoting the nation.
Further announcements regarding the official visit will be made in due course.
