PM gets courtesy call from Transparency Institute

The Honourable Dr. Keith Rowley, Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, received a courtesy call from members of the Trinidad and Tobago Transparency Institute (TTTI) on Friday at the Office of the Prime Minister, St. Clair.

This visit follows the TTTI’s recently concluded election which resulted in the selection of a new Chairman, Dion Abdool.

Also present were Deryck Murray, former TTTI Chairman, Susan Gordon, Secretary, Cheyenne Telfer and Jason Stedman, Director.

During the meeting, the TTTI reiterated its call for the proclamation of the Procurement Legislation.

Prime Minister Rowley reaffirmed the Government's commitment to so do and explained that the only hold-up is in ensuring the establishment and operation of procurement units throughout the Government Service.
