PM to hold first meeting at Whitehall tomorrow

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley will assume duties at Whitehall on Tuesday.

The original Office of the Prime Minister was reopened last Thursday following the completion of restoration works on the historic building.

Staff at the Office of the Prime Minister is expected to complete the relocation to Whitehall Monday.

The Prime Minister will hold his first official meeting at 10.30 am when he receives a courtesy call from the outgoing Australian High Commissioner, John Pilbeam.

The historic all-white building, located at Queen's Park Savannah, is the original home of the Office of the Prime Minister.

Restoration works were completed to the tune of $32 million.

Meanwhile, Parliament staff is due to return to the Red House by the end of this month, with the entire move to be completed by the end of the year. Parliament is expected to properly occupy the Red House after the Christmas holiday.
