PM, MPs report smooth voting process
Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley and MPs Paula Gopee-Scoon and Stuart Young all reported a seamless, problem-free voting experience at Monday’s Local Government Election.
Speaking with Loop News, Dr Rowley said the process took about two minutes and was ‘very normal’.

Minister of Trade and Industry, Paula Gopee-Scoon, said that she was confident that the PNM led a clean campaign and said the process was smooth.
Both Gopee-Scoon and Dr Rowley cast their vote at the International School, Port of Spain.
Minister of National Security, Stuart Young, said he had confidence in the process.
The Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC), warned the public to obey the rules on voting day and warned against illegal acts such as bribery, treating and undue influence.
In addition, businesses are reminded that workers are allotted two hours for voting, in addition to their regular midday meal hour, for the purpose of voting, as per the Representation of the People Act.
