Attorney and Legal Advisor to the Prime Minister, Nafeesa Mohammed, has been dismissed.
Mohammed, the aunt of Tariq Mohammed who was one of thirteen arrested in the "credible threat to disrupt Carnival activities", received a termination letter after a Facebook post she made regarding the incident.
She was reportedly at home on February 8 when her nephew was arrested from their San Juan home.
Loop TT understands that in the post which was later deleted, Mohammed spoke about an alleged "cabal" within the People's National Movement (PNM) with some people being anti-muslim.
Mohammed took up the role as an advisor to the Prime Minister in December 2017.
