PNM mourns passing of ‘patriot’ Tim Kee

“A giant of a man, a gentleman and a patriot.”

This is how the People’s National Movement (PNM) has remembered its former Treasurer and former mayor of Port of Spain, Raymond Tim Kee, who passed away on Saturday night.

In a statement on Sunday, the party said it mourns the passing of an active and loyal member of the Movement.

As a member of the PNM, Tim Kee functioned within several Party Committees and groups. In 2010, he was elected as the Party’s Treasurer. Three years later, he was appointed an Alderman and as the Mayor of Port of Spain. 

He was also remembered for his dedication to service to his country which he demonstrated through his commitment to football, especially in his tenure as president of the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA).  

The party expressed gratitude for his service and extended condolences to is family on his passing.

“We extend our deepest condolences to his wife, Mrs. Natasha Babwah– Tim Kee, his children, his grandchildren, and to his wider family and friends.   

We pray for him and for his family during this very difficult time. May he rest in peace.”

The People’s National Movement mourns the passing of its former Treasurer, and former Mayor of Port of Spain, Mr. Raymond Tim Kee. Mr. Tim Kee, for decades, served as an active and loyal member of the Movement, functioning within several Party Committees and groups. In 2010, he was elected as the Party’s Treasurer. In 2013, he was appointed as an Alderman and as the Mayor of the Capital City of Port of Spain. 

Mr. Tim Kee distinguished himself in his professional career within the Insurance Industry, winning many awards and accolades during his tenure. His dedication to service to his country also manifested itself through his commitment to national sports, specifically, football, eventually culminating with service as the President of the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association.  

The PNM celebrates the life of Mr. Raymond Tim Kee - a giant of a man, a gentleman and a patriot - and we are grateful for his service. We extend our deepest condolences to his wife, Mrs. Natasha Babwah– Tim Kee, his children, his grandchildren, and to his wider family and friends.   

We pray for him and for his family during this very difficult time. May he rest in peace.
