Police arrest Pleasantville man, seize grenade and ammunition

A 26-year-old Pleasantville man has been arrested while two hand-grenades and a quantity of assorted ammunition were seized by officers of the  Central  Division Criminal   Investigations   Department.

The arrest and seizure were made during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Southern Division around 9 am on Wednesday.

 Officers executed a search warrant at the Orchid Gardens, Pleasantville home, of the robbery suspect. The search resulted in the two explosive devices and approximately   300 rounds of assorted ammunition being discovered inside the house.

The suspect, who was in the house at the time of the exercise, was arrested in connection with the find. Investigations are ongoing.
